KBP Recognition Circle

The KBP Recognition Circle is a conceptual model developed during a master’s research project in special education at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2025. It brings research-based knowledge, practitioner experience, and the student-in-context perspective into a relational structure involving students, practitioners, researchers, and decision-making structures.
The model highlights reciprocal recognition, dialogue, and the relation between interpersonal and institutional conditions in knowledge-based practice. It extends conventional representations of knowledge-based practice by making relational and ethical dimensions analytically visible.
The model is published as a citable conceptual contribution for scholarly discussion and further development. It should not be understood as an empirically validated assessment instrument or as a model for evaluating individuals.
