Analytical Orientation and Analytical Level: A Methodological Companion Note to the Self-Matryoshka Analytical Framework (S-MAF)

Ekaterina Eines · First published 1 March 2026

Zenodo record description / Copied for this site

This companion note clarifies the distinction between analytical orientation and analytical level within applications of the Self-Matryoshka Analytical Framework (S-MAF).

While earlier methodological pilot notes specify rotational analytical orientation and cross-model consistency, the present note addresses a potential methodological ambiguity: the conflation of analytical rotation with level-based analysis (individual, institutional, societal).

The note does not revise S-MAF, introduce new components, or analyse empirical material. Its contribution is limited to methodological clarification intended to support consistent and non-normative analytical use of the framework across contexts.
